Northern Lights Glow

Northern Lights Glow

By Rock That Talks

Did you ever stop and wonder why

God put those lights up in the sky

Can you feel the stars all dance with you?

No matter what your day has put you through.

Have you ever just looked out of your eyes?

And beheld the vision God placed in the skies.

Have you ever heard your own heart song?

Or felt the joy from humming along.

Have you ever witnessed the Northern Lights Glow?

My family had this privilege you know

Magenta’s, Greens the flashing of lights.

Were among the wonders dancing our night.

We had come together to move as one mind.

We had come together and made sacred our time.

Guided by Our Elder toward the all we can be.

We stepped outside in the night and saw we were free.

Palindromes are words that spell the same forward or backward,
such as ‘wow’ or ‘mom’. I don’t know if there is a descriptive word
for letters that spell words forward and backward without regard to
their meaning such as ‘stop’ and ‘pots’ or ‘dog’ and ‘god’.

Did you know, the brain takes all the words and puts
them all together in any and all orders. So the brain works like an
anagram program. And it interprets the entire situation using all the
words. This is the source of the idea of the Hebrew Language, and
the Bible Code. Meanings are in the letters and the words, the order
is not important to your brain understanding.

I bring this forward today as we all at some point reach within to either be heard or say the right thing. I for one had to wrap my brain around the importance of how I word my affirmations, declarations and intentions. I am reminded of  Buddha’s wisdom, “Misfortune comes from ones mouth and ruins them…”
And the sacred text, “In the begining was the word.”
All of this is a relatively unexplored area of human communication,
especially on the verbal level. But to give an example: if I say ‘I do
not come to visit to kill you, but to interview you” to the President,
I will be escorted out and detained from the moment I finish
the sentence, because I +Kill +You is what the brain hears and
understands regardless of the other words.

This is why it is disconcerting on one level to hear something like
‘It is me, not you’; because the brain does hear ‘It is you, not me’.
So you have said something but is the reverse meaning more true?

So, unaware as some of us are, our speech and our writings convey many
many levels that our brain understands, but our conscious mind does
not cognize because we never were taught this in school. It is as if we need permission to understand words that way, unless you have figured it out on your own.
So that is why, as you become more sophisticated, you will see this when you
do it and when others do it. That makes you much more perceptive. Thus you
learn to use the words you speak to always, in any order mean the same thing.
Thus, you will never be misunderstood.

For example, when we say ‘I love you’ in English, it means the same as in a European language which is ‘I you love’.

Leave yourself open to discovery.

Know Each Other

Know Each Other

Today as I choose to move about, there was the whisper of spring in the air. I could hear the great exhale of the winds all around me. As I observered those in my community I became aware of the few who had braved the winter coats and winds of our Great Mother Nature who were out and about all season. In addition I began to notice those who are coming out of hibernation, now that the thaw has begun. It was a warm day in this area my mind recalled the stories that my Beloved Elder Grandmother Pa’Ris’Ha has shared regarding when the seasons turned.

There was a time when her people would come together with their lodges, their families, their horses, dogs, and all their possessions. There would be the old faces that were loved and remembered and then the young faces filled with interest and surprise.  There would be the crafts brought forward, the medicines shared, and the offering of Great Thanksgiving for one another.

There would be the excitement of the sacred fire, the beating of the drums and singing and the dancing, storytelling, all the many patterns woven together. Everything was alive and lively, full of vitality and movement. All were hung together by strong threads of understanding and free choice as to where they stood.

Who do we know today?  What are our stories and who do we tell? We see a lot of fearfulness today. Among the people there is much pain in the body, mind and spirit. Many are broken.

My Beloved Elder Grandmother Pa’Ris’Ha shows us in consistent demonstration with her life that, “We have to make a lot of good caring energy…” she says, “When you know and can recognize the paths … you can meet and greet people out of your Knowing…”  “We can enjoy everything we do with ourselves and all others by paying attention to the paths we tread and the masks we wear.”

I Give My Heart

Today I was deeply touched by the meaning of Generosity. As I moved through my day offering my time and services there was a lightness a buoyancy if you will that felt to my core.

It goes without saying that the presence of my Beloved Elder Grandmother Pa’Ris’Ha surounded me. I can tell you truthfully I have never met a more generous human being in every sense of the word both known and unknown.

Generosity is the habit of giving freely without expecting anything in return. It can involve offering time, assets or talents to aid someone in need. Generosity is not solely based on one’s economic status, but instead, includes the individual’s pure intentions of looking out for society’s common good and giving from the heart. Generosity should reflect the individual’s passion to help others. In Buddhism, generosity is the antidote to the self-chosen poison called greed.

On this Valentine Day as  I created ways to give out warmth and best wishes for the many this story came to me.  That just says what I wish to share this day.

Not A One.

Little Chad was a shy, quiet young man. One day he came home and told his mother that he’d like to make a valentine for everyone in his class. Her heart sank. She thought, “I wish he wouldn’t do that!” because she had watched the children when they walked home from school. Her Chad was always behind them. They laughed and hung on to each other and talked to each other. But Chad was never included. Nevertheless, she decided she would go along with her son. So she purchased the paper and glue and crayons. For three weeks, night after night, Chad painstakingly made 35 valentines.

Valentine’s Day dawned, and Chad was beside himself with excitement. He carefully stacked them up, put them in a bag, and bolted out the door. His mother decided to bake him his favorite cookies and serve them nice and warm with a cool glass of milk when he came home from school. She just knew he would be disappointed and maybe that would ease the pain a little. It hurt her to think that he wouldn’t get many valentines – maybe none at all.

That afternoon she had the cookies and milk on the table. When she heard the children outside, she looked out the window. Sure enough, there they came, laughing and having the best time. And, as always, there was Chad in the rear. He walked a little faster than usual. She fully expected him to burst into tears as soon as he got inside. His arms were empty, she noticed, and when the door opened she choked back the tears.

“Mommy has some cookies and milk for you,” she said.

But he hardly heard her words. He just marched right on by, his face aglow, and all he could say was: “Not a one. Not a one.”

Her heart sank.

And then he added, “I didn’t forget a one, not a single one!”

Face Your Tiger

Face Your Tiger

Today, was a hard day for me, it seemed that the tiger was about to bite me, there I was battling my self created demons. You know what was funny try as I might to dive right in to my pity party I could not take off.

I really had come to a place that there was no ‘two minds’ and just in case by some chance I might not have recognized this Great Truth one of my beautiful, compassionate and loving sisters (of which I am Blessed with many) called me,”Out of the Blue” as the saying goes and when I asked her what did she need, her response was “nothing”. Right at that moment I could see the Truth.  I faced my Tiger armed with the Knowing from within myself that I needed nothing.   I came into this existence with everything I would need.

Later these words of my Beloved Elder Grandmother Pa’Ris’Ha came to my mind like the Sun that illuminates all darkness.

“As we walk along life’s journey the magnificent Beings we are, all of creation responds to our Being. So think clearly and hold pure thoughts, speak words of truth, act with kindness and caring. Oh Beloveds, none are loved more by the One That Is In All Things as we, the children of God, the Co-Creators. Feel it! Touch it! Be it!”

Filled With Appreciation

It Takes A Village

“This is dedicated to all my children and grandchildren.  I pull you all close to me that my Blanket will wrap you forever in peace and keep you warm, my blanket is my prayers for you.

I say to your mind and heart as you sleep in my arms, remember this time, hold fast to the wisdom you have been given it is timeless and is today as powerful as it was in the beginning.”

Grandmother Pa’Ris’Ha

I can not tell you how much these words have been a comfort to me today. Truth is Truth the Principles never change.  My extended family and I are closer to securing our land in Arizona, which will be of service to our global community. The birth of our new facility brings with it much excitement and joy. Many hands have assisted in this endeavor and for that I am in great appreciation. It really does take a village. I am most fortunate that I can live and have my being in this community.

As I look out in the global communities, and walk among those who are broken, wounded and have no champions for themselves, I realize all over again how much God loves me. The One that lives in all things, made sure that my life was in the right place at the right time to connect  with this loving and most generous being, My Beloved Elder Grandmother Pa’Ris’Ha and my awesome extended family, who tirelessly move in cooperation with each other to bring about the upliftment for all humankind.

This day I am so very moved by all that it has taken to bring our dream into physical form. I look forward to the many people who will grace our land and benefit from our many services.

Our Children Are On Loan To Us.

Parenting as Was Originally Given

Grandmother Pa’Ris’Ha

Parenting should take place only when a man and a woman have given serious consideration to what they are asking for.  Parenting does not mean that you own this precious life that you are bringing into the world.  It means that you are the caretakers of this wonderful new being, until it can take care of itself.  It means showing by example how to live a good life, and allowing the child to find its own way in the world.  Ownership would play no part in parenting.  Guidance and nurturing and a willingness to allow a child to make its own mistakes and learn from them.  This is the true goal of enlightened parenting.

As parents we are guardians.  We must learn not to give children answers we don’t have.  Every child resonates to truth, and every word we say becomes a tape that the child will live.  Kids are like sponges for the first seven years of their life.  We teach the children by making them a part of everything we do, not by filling the house with toys and entertainment.

Know Thy Self

Know Thy Self

Today I want to ask you how do you work with the knowing that we are born into the process of dying? Our science community speak to us of telomeres – a region of DNA at the end of a chromosome that protects the start of the genetic coding sequence against shortening during successive replications, so as we mature they look more like the frayed ends of shoe strings. The telomeres while we are young  are long and as we move through our lived experiences the get shorter and so does their ability to to replicate. Again we come to a place where there is much to be said about this, so I recommend all who seek to Know themselves to investigate this information as there are some clues as to how to maintain the lengths and elasticity of the telomeres.

Recently I had the awesome opportunity to spend a pair of moments with my Beloved Elder Grandmother Pa’Ris’Ha and she brought forward to my mine this Truth. We are all born into the dying process.  As the song says, “every thing must change…” Since my brief visit with the Elder, I have been found myself pondering, how I have come to the half way point of my life and much like Neo in the movie the ‘Matrix’ (One of my favorites) and  I am waking up from a dream of shadows I thought real. Knowing this information effects all of my choices, how I spend my time and what do I deem as valuable.

“Awakening is possible only for those who seek it and want it, for those who are ready to struggle with themselves and work on themselves and very persistently in order to attain it.” ~ G.I. Gurdjieff

There is so much more I know I can do with my second half of time.I know that there are those who, are pretty good at demanding from others more “quality time”, ‘more attention’ and a deeper sharing with each other. I can see that this is what my Observer Self, Spirit or Indwelling Soul has been silently waiting for me to know of myself. How true the words ring , “Know Thy Self.”

Until we know ourselves we will not see the world objectively.

The Book of Thomas

Jesus said, “Brother Thomas 5 while you have time in the world, listen to me, 6 and I will reveal to you the things you have pondered 7 in your mind.

“Now, since it has been said that you are my 8 twin and true companion, examine yourself, and learn 9 who you are, in what way you exist, and 10 how you will come to be. Since you will be called my brother, 11 it is not fitting that you be ignorant 12 of yourself. And I know that you have understood, 13 because you had already understood that I am the knowledge of the truth. 14 So while you accompany me, although you are uncomprehending, 15 you have (in fact) already come to know, and you will be called ‘the one who 16 knows himself’. For he who has not known 17 himself has known nothing, but he who has known himself 18 has at the same time already achieved knowledge about the depth of the all. 19 So then, you, my brother Thomas, have beheld what is obscure 20 to men, that is, what they ignorantly stumble against.” 21

Pa’ Ris’Ha – Cherokee Elder

Whatever you have made of your life depends on how you value all your challenges and hard knocks.  Strife develops character and we would be quite pale if we lived differently.

Do you not see yourself in the children’s eyes and hear your own pain in their cries?  Do you not see your anger in their defiance?  If not, you are not being real.

We are all bewildered by life.  Champions are not born.  They appear from the rubble of destruction.  Let our lives be as champions and leave a legacy for the upcoming generation.

The Book of Thomas #22 Pt.8

Jesus said to them, “When you make the two one, and when you make the inside like the outside and the outside like the inside, and the above like the below, and when you make the male and the female one and the same, so that the male not be male nor the female female; and when you fashion eyes in the place of an eye, and a hand in place of a hand, and a foot in place of a foot, and a likeness in place of a likeness; then will you enter the kingdom.”

As I pondered this last portion of #22, what comes to my mind is that Jesus was talking about the our ability to be in right relationship, as my Beloved Elder Grandmother Pa’Ris’Ha has shared, “Right Relationship by seeing our selves even more extend than those intimate relationships, such as man/woman relationship, or parent/child relationship…

Many many people say the words that they have given themselves to God, yet do we really? Can we move with Mindfulness, Purposeful Thinking and Behavior, with every breath and know that that hand, that foot and image is as God is? This takes discipline to ask oneself in the moment, am I in focus here or am I contributing to that state I am not wanting to be in?  No one of us has, “The upper hand.”

Our bodies are our Sacred Altars. Observe a being that is in complete harmony with themselves? There is a light that shines from them. It brings to my mind the song, “This little light of mine, I’m gonna let it shine…”

While I totally recommend your further investigation of caring for the body altar, I just want to mention that it is very important to pay attention to your needs of the body. There are as many diets as there are cultures it would seem, choose a food plan that does not set you up for failure.  With the help of those who know un-cover what your body is saying to you. Example: When you have just eaten a meal and are still hungry the body is Not saying, “more food,” it is saying that what you have given it, did not feed the cells, find what the cells need in order to deliver you to absolute health, harmony and oneness. When we all can do this we will have come to where we can come nearer to Jesus’ statement, a hand in place of a hand, a foot in place of a foot, an image in place  of an image, then you will enter [the Kingdom].”

“What you can embrace in thought and see in the process of our thought in mind, as soon as it arouses a feeling, it is already on it’s way. Pa’Ris’Ha

The Book of Thomas #22 Pt.6

The Book of Thomas  22 continues.

Jesus said to them, “When you make the two into one, and when you make the inside like the outside and the outside like the inside, and what is above like what is below, and when you make male and female into a single one, so that the male will not be male nor the female be female, when you make a pair of eyes in place of one eye, a hand in place of a hand, a foot in place of a foot, an image in place  of an image, then you will enter [the Kingdom].”

My exploration from The Book of Thomas continues with #22 … a pair of eyes in place of one eye…

It would seem to me that what Jesus is saying to us here is that our vision has to be more than what we individually perceive. We must broaden our sights to be inclusive of others visions as well as the many visions we ourselves may have.

As I shared yesterday we can always start anew. We can begin again as Grandmother Pa’Ris’Ha says, to us when sharing the Principle of Regeneration. Bottom line”… if you don’t like what you see change it…”

If for some reason you don’t think you are seeing clearly than look at it from another angle. Find a pair of eyes from one that has shown you, it can be done, no matter what it is. Remember as you reach to uncover more, more is revealed. It’s like being on the right train every stop you come to is the right stop.

Our lives are enriched by the sight of others there is no denying this. Every time we see an artist’s piece of work that leaves us with awe, we have used a pair of eyes in place of the one.

“To the mind that is still, the whole universe surrenders.”
